Dimpleknowe Mill...

Dimpleknowe Mill - sleeps 6 with 3 ensuite bedrooms. Unsuitable for children under 8 years old. No pets allowed. Babies sleeping in cots are welcome.

Dimpleknowe Mill is a converted farm mill which has undergone extensive building and refurbishment work to make it into a stunning, extremely well presented and very desirable holiday accommodation.

The Mill has been awarded a 4 star rating by the Scottish Tourist Board. The cottage has also been given the Accessible Category 2 award, which means that it is accessible to a wheelchair user who is travelling with assistance. This also makes it particularly suitable for elderly visitors.

The Mill has been designed to offer all the amenities that are required to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, whilst being at the same time environmentally friendly and also maintaining the original character of the building. The use of low voltage downlighting and energy saving appliances compliments the original staircase and the solid wood beams which span the ceiling in the spacious downstairs living/dining area as well as in both upstairs bedrooms.

Accommodation details...

The open plan design of the ground floor incorporates a fully equipped kitchen area featuring dishwasher, gas hob, electric fan oven, large frige/freezer and microwave, a dining area with seating for upto 6 people, and a well appointed sitting area which has a 42-inch widescreen TV, DVD & video player and Sky Plus. There is also a DAB radio/CD player/MP3 player dock supplied for your use. Free Wi-Fi internet access is also now available in the Mill, so visitors who need to access emails or the internet during their stay can bring and use their own laptop computer to do so.

Patio doors lead out onto an enclosed south facing patio and courtyard with garden furniture, which is perfect for barbeques or just relaxing in the summer sunshine.

Also located on the ground floor, we have a large double bedroom which has a specially designed ensuite shower room that gives full access for disabled visitors.

There is also a well equipped drying & utility room, which houses a washing machine, and is perfect for changing out of wet/damp outdoor clothes.

The positioning of the kitchen area allows the morning sun to stream into the room, whilst in the evening, the sunset can be viewed from the north/west facing sitting room area.

Upstairs, there are a further two en-suite bedrooms, one twin and one double. Both are large and spacious. The double bedroom contains a king-size bed, with romantic bedside lighting. There is also the gallery sitting room which makes a perfect location for evening drinks, or quiet reading and reflection. All the upstairs rooms have stunning views over the surrounding countryside, which you can get a taste of from the photographs.

The Mill has full gas central heating throughout, and also an open fire in the sitting room, for those who like a more traditional option. A heating allowance is included in the rental price - see the booking terms page for information.

A John Lewis cot and high chair are provided, but please bring own linen if use of the cot is required.

Ample off road parking is available in the grounds of the Mill.

Due to the size of the cottage we are currently looking at a number of options which will let us offer letting reduced rates. For example if you only need the two upstairs bedrooms, and not the disabled suite, we may be able to offer the property at a reduced rate. For further information on this, or for any queries you may have, please do not hesitate to contact us.
